Women's History Month Celebration on Ft. Bragg Did you know that President Bush has passed a mandate declaring that March 2008 will be known from now on as 'Women's History Month'? True! He mandated that events to honor the contributions, accomplishments and 'behind the scene' efforts of women should take place in March. Ft. Bragg, NC, was chosen for one of the big 'kick-off' events. Wow! What a fabulous compilation of facts and history! Several local artists were invited as well to show their contributions to society--by making it a better and brighter place for others. I was SO honored to be invited to participate. I can't wait until next year when we roll out this celebration again! I don't believe I've ever felt so proud to be an American. There are great women almost everywhere you look--I'm trying to think of where you COULDN'T find them--that list is pretty small. Every mom who brings a smile to their child's face is making America a better country to be in. I'm so glad that President Bush has passed this declaration--women deserve recognition for their amazing efforts as well as the men. Thank goodness we're American! :)
